In 2001 a brand new high class glossy magazine was launched from Swiss and edited by Laurent Blomet. In the second year, the magazine that until then was fully publised in the French language continued as a bi-lingual publication French / English. Lateron Isabelle de Sadeleer took over as an editor and 11 editions where published until 2004. From 2004 through 2010 the publication continued as an extensive yearbook covering Ferrari events across the world.

Le 18 février 1898, il y a 110 ans, naît en Italie, à Modène, un enfant portant un nom qui allait devenir tout au long du XXème siècle l'une des plus célèbres marques du monde, et aussi l'une des plus immédiatement identifiables. Cet enfant, il s'agit bien sûr d'Enzo Ferrari, dont les voitures on compté depuis plus de soixante ans parmi les plus recherchées et les plus vénérées de part le monde. Toutefois, la rote qui a conduit ce nom à devenir l'un des plus fameux au monde a été longue er tortueuse. Et, d'une certain façon, une réussite surprenante. |

La maison de Maranello a fêté ce nouveau succès "en famille" sur le circuit de Mugello. Les Finales Mondiales 2008 ont ainse vu la présentation de la Scuderia Spider 16M, une version cabriolet de la Ferrari 430 Scuderia, qui saluait l'an passé les 15ème titres Pilotes et Constructeurs de Ferrari. |
| 54 | Fatti importanti | Ferrari 612 Scaglietti 2+2 La 612 Scaglietti à la première personne Jean-Philippe Doret Ferrari SpA De tous temps, il a existé des Ferrari conçues "a la carte", plus spécialement aux Etats-Unis, devenus Eldorado privilégie par les talents de gestionnaire de Luigi Chinetti. Ce fut particulièrement le cas pendant les années cinquante et soixante, mais deux modèles très spéciaux ont marqué les esprits en 2006: la P4/5 de James Glickenhaus (sur basse de Enzo) et la 612 "K" de Peter Kalikow, réalisés par Pininfarina à la demande de ces deuz propriétaires. Pour son millésime 2008, la Ferrari 612 Scaglietti se retrouve au coeur de cette tradition pour le programma "One-to-One". Annoncé au Salon de Genève 2008, puis lancé en mars au Ferrari Store new-yorkais de Park Avenue. |

Présentée au Salon de Genève 2008, la GranTurismo S entend confirmer cette mebellie, particulièrement aux Etats-Unis, devenus premier marché de Maserati, où la boîte de vitesses automaitque fait partie du quotidien. Cette version est ainse équipée de la transmission électronique issue de la Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, qui permet un changement de rapport de 100 milli-secondes. |

Jean-Philippe Doret Maserati SpA Depuis la présentation de la GranTurismo en 2007, Maserati semble déterminé à vouloir en faire son coupé phare. En effet, elle se dècline en deuz variations en cette annèe 2008: le coupé sportif GranTurismo S et aussi le concept car GranTurismo MC. Les initiales de "Maserati Corse" trahissent d'ores et déjà l'ambition de cette voiture présentée au Mondial de Paris, qu l'on retrouvera sans doute à l'avenir dans le championnat GT3 dédié aux gentlemen drivers. |

Sur base de Maserati Quattroporte, le Bellagio Fastback Touring propose aux propriétaires du vaisseau amiral du Trident un véhicule sur mesure, qu'ill s'agisse de la couleru, des matériaux ou de l'aménagent d'un intérieur spacieaux, qui peut accueillir un bar, ou encore un petit réfrigérateur entr les sièges arrière. Alors que la Ferrari nº 62 l'avait emportée l'an passé, le team texan a connu moins de réussite lors de cette 56ème édition. Solide leader en GT2 après six herures de course, Jaime Melo ruinait ses chances en allant percuter un autre concurrent. Risi Competizione se consolait toutefois avec la 3ème place de sa seconde voiture. |

Favori des 24 Heures du Mans, Risi Competizione avait assumé son status en menant l'épreuve jusqu'au petit matin avant d'être constraint à l'abandon. |

En 2007, l'affrontement Porsche contre Ferrari avait débouché sur une sorte de match nul: Richard Lietz et Joel Camathias remportaient le championnat toutes catégories pour Porsche et Autorlando, alors qu'Andrea Montermini et Michele Maceratesi remportaient le GTA (l'équivalent du GT2) pour Ferrari et Playteam. In 2008, la revanche entre ces différent protagonistes voit Montermini et Maceratesi dominer le championnat, la paire Lietz/Roda semblant moins homogène qu la précédente association.         |

Une situation qui se retrouve au niveau des pilotes puisque Michael Bartels associé à Andrea Bertolini d'une part, et Toni Vilander our Rob Bell de l'autre conservent leurs titres. Seule l'équipe Risi Competizione n'a pu réussir pareille performance en American Le Mans Series, mais l'équipe texane s'est imposée au Mans et à Petit Le Mans, les deux rendez-vous les plus important de l'année. |

Cette dernière propose également une catégorie "jeune pilote" réservée aux moins de 30 ans. Chacune des deuz catégories propose également un classement séparé pour le championnat Italien, occasionnellement couru lors des meetings européens. | 200 | Competizione | Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge Europe 2008 David O'Neill Patrick Payany, Roberto Viva Cette année, le Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge s'est ouvert début avril au Mugello Historic Festival, pour s'achever au même endroit en novembre, à la grande fête Ferrari annuelle des Finali Mondiali. Entre les deux, des épreuves au HTTT Paul Ricard (France), au Hungaroring 9Hongrie) et au Nürburgring (Allemagne). Le format en fut identique aux années précédentes, avec trois catégories principales: monoplaces equipées de freins à tambour, voitures de sport et GT à freins à tambour, et voitrues à freins à disques, avec différentes classes au sein de ces trois catégories, ainsi chacun a une chance équitable de remporter le classement général en fin de saison. Comme par le passé, les Maserati sont éligibles pour participer à cette compétition, tout comme les Alfa Romeo d'avant-guerre. Chaque meeting propose une course pour chaque catégorie le samedi et le dimanche. Tels autant de Phoenix, nombre de spécimens, parfois considérés comme perdus, réapparaissent régulièrement, après avoir fait l'object d'une restauration méticuleuse. Et, alors que notre continent subit le régime de la grisaille et de la froidure, forte est la tentation de répondre à l'appel des sirènes (en l'occurence le chant du V12) et de s'envoler en ce début d'année vers les rivages ensoleillés de Floride, et plus précisément à Palm Beach, à l'occasion du traditionnel Cavallino Classic qui ouvre en beauté l'année Ferrari. De la plus ancienne à la plus récente, de la vraie GT au plus exclusif modèle de compétition, les Ferrari présentes illustraient parfaitement la glorieuse histoire de la casa di Maranello. |

Mais, évidemment, rien ne saurait remplacer une immersion totale, l'espace de quelques jours, dans ce temple du sport automobile. Ici, définitivement, cette notion prend toute sa signification, comme dans peu d'autres endroits de par le monde, comme le Nürburgring (le vrai, celui de 22 kilomètres), Indianapolis ou encore Daytone. Pour cette édition 2008 de Le Mans Classic, World in Red vous propose ainsi de revivre ce week-end riche en émotions. Et de partir, pour chaque plateau, à la rencontre de quelques-unes des vedettes de cette édition, hommes et machines unis par la passion de la course. |

| 268 | Avvenimenti | Mille Miglia 2008 La bella corsa David O'Neill Patrick Payany Chaque année au mois de mai, la ville de Brescia, dans le nord de l'Italie, devient la Mecque des passionnés de voitures de collection. Ils sont des milliers à se retrouver pour admirer le corège de voitures qui suivent les panneaux " Freccia Rossa" (flèche rouge en italien), symbole des Mille Miglia. Concurrents et spectateurs s'y donnent rendez-vous pour célébrer la fameuse épreuve routière, dont l'historie s'acheva en 1957 à la suite d'un terrible accident fatal au Marquis Alfonso De Portago, à son copilote Ed Nelson et à dix spectateurs. Un demi-siècle de batailles titanesques sur les routes transalpines s'achève alors, mais la mémoire des Mille Miglia se perpétue grâce au rally historique disputé chaque année sur l'itéraire de la course originelle, devenue aujourd'hui une épreuve de régularité. |
| 278 | Avvenimenti | Ennstal Classic Jean-Philppe Doret Peter Singhof Cette épreuve historique offre le superbe écrin des Alpes autrichiennes pour des voitures de collection de tous horizons. Ferrari était le quatrième constructeur représenté dans cette seizième édition, avec notamment la légendaire 500 F2, avec laquelle Alberto Ascari conquit ses deux titres de Champion du Monde en 1952 et 53, pilotée par Jo Vonlanthen. Première femme pilote de l'histoire de la Formule 1, Maria Teresa de Filippis a repris le volant de la Maserati 250 F avec laquelle elle disputa trois Grand Prix il y a tout juste un demi-siècle. Réparties en quatra plateaux différents, les voitures de Ennstal Classic 2008 comprenaient également une Ferrarri 225 S de 1952, une Ferrari 500 Mondial de 1953, une Ferrari 250 GT California de 1958, ainsi qu'un superbe trio de Ferrari 250 GT Lusso de 1964.  16. Là-bas, en l'espace cinq jours, vous participerez aus évènements incontournables du monde des collectionneurs automobiles internationaux. A 150 kilomètres au sud de San Francisco et dans un rayon de trente minutes en voiture autour de Monterey, vous n'allez pas en croire vos yeux. In between they took in races ath the HTTT Paul Ricard circuit in France, the Hungaroring in Hungary and the Nürburgring in Germany. The format was as that set in previous years, with three main groups, drum brake monoposto cars, drum brake sports racing and GT cars, and disc brake cars, with classes within these groups, so that everybody had a a fair chance to take the overall spoils of victory at the end of the season. As in the past, Maseratis are eligible to compete, along with pre-war Alfa Romeos, and there was a race for each group on both the Saturday and Sunday of each event.
