Enzo Ferrari began at a young ago his contact with the printed papers (that was at the time the only communication system) thanks to a contribution to the sporting newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport dated November 16th, 1914 about the soccer match Modena-Internazionale.
After forsaking the idea of becoming a journalist (and also of becoming an opera singer) the young Ferrari pointed decidedly toward motoring with the results that we all know. And from October 5th, 1919 when he entered his first race until 1929 when he founded the Scuderia bearing his name the newspapers were interested in his activity.
From 1929 on Mr. Ferrari became also a public relations and a communication man, publisher of many magazines that delved on the activity of the team that as time went by and the name bacame famous have increased their value assuming the status of collector's items. During the II WW the management of racing cars bas been changed into production of machine tools, and it is on a catalogue of these products that one finds the now famous long capital F for the first time.
The date is uncertain but the fact that on the cover there is a drawing of the Maranello factory allows to fix the date from around 1944. This issue of Ferrari story tries to resume the history of communication of the most famous car maker Worldwide.

Started life as a supplement to Motor Italia in 1984, Ferrari Story developed to a standalone and mature annual magazine in 1995 until it's demise in 2009.
