4 | Auto Train to the U.S. Grand Prix James Crosby We are sure that many of you have seen the newspaper and T.V. ads in the past few years about the D.C. to Orlando Auto-train and wondered if it would be workable with a Ferrari and just how comfortable the trip would be. Let me put your mind at ease at the outset and say that it is a really great way to travel.
6 | Technote | Gaskets No. 1a-2 Jim Riff Those cheap looking paper cutouts that keep the fluids in our expense engines deserve special attention and handling in order to do their job efficiently. |
8 | Ferrari Racing Memories Joel Finn Taz Rufty, Dave Allen, Irv Dolin, Peter Dechert, C.B. Warshawsky, A Rolofson, Joel Finn, Ozzie Lyons, Gino Barbieri, Bill Moran, Gus Vignole, Alice Bixler, Ron Woods. Philip Haub, Larry Tomaras, Fred Vytal, Leo Patrick Cummings For many of us, at least those of middle age or more, the stimulus to become a Ferraristi was probably initiated by witnessing them in action at American sports car races in the 1950's. At that time the Prancing horse entries were both frequent and often very successful.
32 | Regional Events | FCA / FOC Tour Rally, May 14, 1977 Northeast Region Carle Conway The Ferraris were parked on the grass among the trees and picture taking was great fun. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day with the blue sky, warm weather, the trees in bloom and spring flowers everywhere. |
32 | Regional Events | Woodlands, Texas, October 28, 1977 South Central States Ralph Beetler Finally we have an active South Central States Region of the Ferrari Club of America. Our first meet at the Woodlands, Texas, turned out to be an exceptional weekend for all who came. |
35 | Regional Events | Summer and Fall 1977 Mid-Atlantic Region Tony Syntax The summer meet was held at club member Bruce Hamilton's home in Baltimore, Maryland in July 17, 1977. The meet was attended by members and their families and friends from all over the region. The fall meet was held in October 23, 1977 at club member Ron Spangler's place of business, Forest Hill Airpark. Ron sponsored a superbly catered luncheon/dinner that was one of the best examples of Maryland seafood I have had. |
