With its Formula 1-derived engine, chassis and suspension, the Ferrari F50 is truly a race car for the road.
The Ferrari F50 was conceived in the late 1980s, primarily by Piero Ferrari, in anticipation of the company's upcoming 50th anniversary - and what a commemoration it would be. While the throwaway cliché "a race car for the street" is heard far too often, the new model, internally code named F130, was exactly that.
