Alessandro Stefanini

The general shape of the F130 can be seen here, but we again warn you that there is much camouflage here as well. Indeed that F40 tail has the F40 imprint in it, and there is tape covering the nose and sides.
Rumors are rampant on when this will appear, and whether Ferrari will go racing with it.

The Philadelphia Vintage Grand Prix in June has come a long way in just a few years and it is now a "must do" for enthusiasts in the northeast. Historically, a Grand Prix race was held in the same Fairmount Park in 1908, and many of the old giants of the era came back to participate in the new race.

Alberto Pedretti recently celebrated forty years of involvement with Ferrari, beginning many years ago as a team mechanic for Ferrari, then the same for Chinetti in the U.S.
Also celebrating a great anniversary year, thirty five in fact, is old Ferrari friend and mentor to many, Bill Rudd. Bill goes way back to the early days of Ferrari in California.

Tony Watson

Before looking into the World Championship "Temporadas" spanning from 1954 to 1960, let us rapidly go back even further, to when Giuseppe "Nino" Farina took his two liter G.P. Ferrari to victory in the 1949 Rosario Grand Prix - run on this Argentinian up-country city's street layout - and scored the marque's first win down here, at the incredibly low average of 48.3 mph, due to the very damp prevailing conditions.

It started life as a competition 250 SWB and has remained active every since. Completed in 1960, s/n 2095 GT had all the competition upgrades found in the racing SWBs, as compared to the street SWBs.
Light and fast, and powered by the soon to be very famous three liter V-12, s/n 2095 GT had several good years of competition in the hands of Dr. Agberico Cacciari. It has had several recent good years of competition in the hands of Jerry Lynch.

But we play a cat and mouse game with Ferrari.

A welcome sight at Le Mans this year was a well prepared 348 "LM" entered by Simpson Engineering. Managed by Gordon Horn, the company has an illustrious background of twelve participations in the 24 hours. Robin Smith, Stefano Sebastiani and Tetsuya Ota were to drive the right hand drive chassis s/n 95450, which, except for two Silverstone test days, was fresh from the workshop and very tidily prepared.

Although not confirmed in hard print, in other words, in an actual press release, there is mounting evidence that Ferrari plans to build at least one chassis to compete in IMSA's new World Sports Car category.
Finally outlawing the GTP and Camel Lights cars, IMSA will now proceed to utilize these new open top sports cars, plus several GT classes.
