The Journal of Ferrari History

Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

Phil Hill

Ferrari's 1961 Formule One World Champion Driver Phil Hill really was the thinking man's racer. Temperamentally he was in period both intensely capable, and intensely competitive. He was also introspective - highly prone to self-doubt, soul-searching, and that could make him spring-loaded, excitable. But he was also very much a polymath, very widely-read, very well educated, broadly knowledgeable on all manner of subjects.

The 2018 version of the Goodwood Revival was the usual over-the-top display of automotive racing history, or hysteria, as everything has to be "of period" - cars, clothing, scenery - and everyone is passionate about fulfilling that brief.

71MercatoWhat's next for the Ferrari market
Some fireside thoughts & comments
The car market has, indeed, slowed from the heights of the previous year, and there are several factors, none of which are singularly important, but which taken as a whole, has put a damper on the former hubris. As of November this year, the overall economies of the world have been slowing, for a multitude of reasons, non of which are directly related to the classic car market, but rather is has made buyers cautious in all areas of ownership and investments.
