The Journal of Ferrari History

Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

With the Ferrari 250 GT, Ferrari was well on its way to series production. But not all were the same. Some, like this 250 Europa GT, 0407 GT, were sculpted with a bit more grace, a bit more detail.

The 'Ferrari under the Skin' exhibition was the initiative of renowned Ferrari and Ferrari literature colector Ronald Stern, who worked closely with the museum curators to bring the exhibition to fruition in Ferrari's 70th Anniversary year. It had it's inauguration at a by invitation soirée on 15th November, where Ronald and the museum director welcomed all guests and explained its theme, essentially a time line of Ferrari the man and the company he created.

The spectacular setting of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxforshire, England, played host to the 12th editiion of the Salon Privé gathering for the third successive year, on August 31 to September 2, 2017. It is hard to imagine a more appropriate setting and backdrop to what is an impressive garden party in the heart of rural England, with lobster, Pommery Champagne and a quintessential English afternoon tea de rigeur.

Market waits for the results of the Scottsdale Auctions

The RM Sotheby's ICONS Auction in New York was a more subdued affair than recent auctions, and may reflect buyers being a bit more selective in their choices. Fout Ferraris sold at good to very good prices, while four other examples, all interesting cars, lagged behind and failed to find a new home. Difficult to say if seller expectations were too high, or the market has grown cautious.
