The Journal of Ferrari History

Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

Nearly all the current Ferrari Concours shows held in the U.S., and many Ferrari Concours in other countries around the world, use the judging processes formulated and implemented by the International Advisory Council for the Preservation of the Ferrari Automobile. Over time, the guidelines proposed by the IAC/PFA for the judging of Ferraris at a Concours event have been found to be the most logical, the most comprehensive, and the most fair of any other proposed format.

Starting in 1955, Pinin Farina began construction of the Ferrari 250 Gran Turismo, built on a 2600 mm chassis and using a developed version of the Colombo-designed 250 MM engine, a four speed transmission with coil spring front suspension. it was homologated by the CSAI as the 250 GT Europa.
