The 1956 Ferrari Formula One season, which concluded with Fangio's title, has already been abundantly dealt with in the literature of the brand.
Much more, in fact, than the genesis of the single-seater, née Lancia D50, as well as the sequence of events which made Ferrari link up to enter cars of the former Turinese competitor.
This tale proposes to emphasize these two aspects , for which represent totally unique facts in Ferrari history.

His war memories or why he did all this for that ...

Florence Swaters

This story has never been told by Jacques, who preferred not to reveal it during its lifetime. Some memories have to be buried deeply in order to continue living. It was only very late in his life that my father agreed to pass on to me some anecdotes to his early years, always with an infinite modesty, not to hurt me, nor to revive old pains.

New rules, new cars, and an unholy mess. The cars have turned ugly and the mood as well. It appears that the Pirelli tires are the key this year - if your set-up is right (by chance, tool), you do well: if not, might as well go home. It this how we want Grand Prix racing to be?

Dennis L. Tanney

There was a huge push by Daytona brass to get Ferraris back into the game at the 24 hour race, where Ferrari gained so much post glory. Ferrari then responded with a dedicated Grand-Am car, proving the versatility of the Ferrari 458 platform.

It was an exciting mix of cars an classes, which made it fun to try and figure out "Who's on First?".
There were Ferrari 458 Italia GT2s aplenty, and they fought hard in several classes to take the flag. Success was gained in the FIA WEC GT class , with more work needed in ALMS. The season, however, has begun.

Ferrrari GTs enter a Golden Era - take note

Keith Bluemel

Our cup runneth over. As we have noted in our headlines and sub-heads, there are Ferrari GT cars everywhere right now, which makes this a glorious time for GT racing.
There are multiple series where these cars van be run, and while some of the series, if not all, seem to be competing with each other, there has been a clever attempt to keep them separate and non-competing.

The new Ferrari F12berlinetta is all about sculpted masses, as this is the defining feature of the car. The overall shape is not a important as all the things being done to it. All those valleys and vents have a strict aerodynamic purpose.
