An appropriate subtitle for the 56th running of Sebring might have been "What a Difference a Year makes." In prospect, the race appeared to have good competition in at least three of the four classes contested.
For the Ferrari teams, a good GT2 result this year did not seem unreasonable, especially when the success of their F430 GTs in the 2007 was considered.

Marcel Massini, Keith Bluemel

This event is now in its thirteenth year and over the past several it has matured into a fabulous event under the careful hand and guidance of impresario Bill Warner. Arrayed over two lush fairways of the gold course of the Ritz Carlton Resort at Amelia island, the assembled automobiles have abundant room to be admired by all, but they are carefully placed never to give a feeling of too much room, too much unused space.

This year, for the seventeenth edition of the Tour Auto in its historic version, the organizers decided to honour the brand OSCA, that good Italian company founded by the Maserati brothers at the end of the forties. One thus found many of these small and unique barchettas at the start, among the other 200 competitors entered. As regards with Ferraris, they are always well represented in this event, and one found thirty eight cars in attendance.

Nothing is easier than a Paris to Marseilles journey: Jump into a train, take an airplane or get into a car and 770 km further on you have reached your destination. Most convenient!
But, the Tour Auto Lissac does not aim for a handy solution, only looking for a pleasant trip. Thus, this Paris to Marseille 2008 route took five days and covered 1800 kilometers.

Ferrari SpA

At the 78th International Geneva Motor Show in March, Ferrari has its usual large presentation, as this is one of the premier European shows and the first of the season, Ferrari therefore presented its entire GT range, but also had some delightful extras like the F2007 that won last year's Formula One Drivers' and Constructors' World Championships. There was further space taken to introduce a new curriculum from Ferrari, their One-to-One Personalization Program.

It's the 40th anniversary of the legendary Ferrari "Daytona"

Hugo Garritsen

Ferrari in Europe has become adept at organizing events to celebrate milestones in the history of its older models, and they were true to form with their latest offering - a series of events for forty Daytonas only, and their owners, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 365 GTB/4 (according to Ferrari, the "Daytona" was so named to memorialize the celebrated triple win at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967).

The new "baby" Ferrari is real, it's done, and it will be unveiled at the Paris Auto Show in October. Several fully finished prototypes have already made the rounds of the major countries where Ferrari has a large presence, and in the case of the U.S., it was said to be shown in Chicago to the dealers and selected customers. Its internal code name is the F149, but no model name or number has been published as of this writing...
27NotizieFirst Ladies in exhibition at the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello
The Galleria Ferrari in Maranello always seems to come up with some unique exhibitions, not only of Ferrari automobiles per se, but also of Ferraris in the context of other areas of popular culture, such as much or movies, etc. Recently they held an exhibit concentrating on women and Ferraris, and we can only smile at the contorted efforts of the Ferrari press release as it tried to convey a high cultural and spiritual tone to the exhibit.

Fast and exclusive, Ferrari's Superamerica was Maranello's reply to the best from Jaguar, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz and yes, even Rolls-Royce.
Ferrari Superamericas attracted an ultra-wealthy, select, and limited clientele that demanded the driving experience, performance, prestige, and automotive panache only Ferrari could deliver, along with deluxe interior trappings equal to anything coming from Coventry, Newport Pagnell, Stuttgart, or Crewe.

When people talk about a Ferrari 166, the image that immediately comes to mind is the iconic 166 MM Barchetta. However, this was preceded by the 166 Spyder Corsa, and was produced alongside the 166 Sport and 166 Inter road going models.
Our feature car is chassis s/n 029 S, which is an example of the 166 Inter model with coachwork by Carrozzeria Touring of Milan.

Journalists have a strange profession. At times, they spend weeks, months and years doing extensive research to gather material in order to be able to write a story of a Scuderia such as Ferrari, while at other times, in just one day, they are able to obtain old images and documents of very important value.
This is what happened to me while going through the archives of a private collector. I discovered significant images that had never been published before, and as a result, I was able to document an auto racing event of historic magnitude - the debut of Ferrari in Formula One.
