Ferrari F1-87 formula one
A new engine with a thin cast-iron cylinder block to achieve greater rigidity, because the power output had reached 880 bhp in race configuration. The angle between the cylinders was decreased from 120° to 90°. The longitudinal gearbox reappeared after 12 years.
