Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta

A car for racing only. With this model the coach builder, Touring, introduced for the first time the 'Superleggera' construction method on a 'barchetta' style. Simple but effective and admired, it was copied by several other manufacturers.
The legendary 'Barchetta' by Touring was presented at the 1948 Turin Motor Show; the 'MM' in its name recalled the victory in the Mille Miglia and anticipated those in the Le Mans 24 Hours, Francorchamps and the Targa Florio.
